BookNook + Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare in Memphis
Through a partnership with Methodist Healthcare & the Urban Child Institute, BookNook helped 400+ students in the last 6 months significantly improve their reading
Over the past calendar year, BookNook has been working with local congregations via their partnership with Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare to provide quality ELA support to after school programs. Based on the success of this program, BookNook is interested in partnering with other organizations in the Memphis area to expand their service to more students in need. The program is adaptable for out-of-school-time use, in school intervention, and in class supplemental material.
Success Highlights
- This past summer, 95% of students in Memphis using BookNook for which we have data maintained or improved their reading scores.
- An independent third party study showed students increasing reading skill 50% faster when they used BookNook to fidelity
